[Confluence Demo] Macros and restricted pages/content

On this page:

Overview

This page demonstrates what it looks like when content from a page with restrictions is mirrored using various Confluence macros.

The macros demonstrated on this page all point to a page with view/edit restrictions limited to a single user (me). That means nobody but me (@Kythera of Anevern) can view the content of the source page.

A public copy of the page with restrictions is here: [Confluence Demo] Restricted page (public version). I created a public copy of the page with the restricted content so you can compare what’s on the source page to how the macros that point to the restricted version render below.

/insert excerpt macro

This /insert excerpt macro is pulling content from an /excerpt macro on a restricted page. You should see an error message that says “No excerpts found.”

/page properties report macro

This /page properties report macro is pulling content from a /page properties macro on a restricted page. You should see an error that says “No content found.”

/include page macro

This /include page macro is pointing to a restricted page. You should see an error that says “Unable to render {include} The included page could not be found.”
